What kinds of property and roofing services can you expect from us?
Taking You Through the Insurance Process
Legacy Restoration understands that dealing with a lot of paperwork and the insurance company after property damage isn’t easy. We help homeowners navigate the murky waters of insurance claims forms, so you don’t have to worry about it. We follow a thorough process for getting the home inspected and submitting an insurance claim. Here’s what to expect:
When you contact us after a storm or accident, we’ll send an experienced roof inspector out to check your property. This involves:
Examining the Property from the Ground
Checking the Ceilings and Attic
Going up on the Roof for a Closer Look
Taking Notes and Photographs of Damage
At the end of the inspection, our roof inspectors will determine if a claim can be filed with your insurance company.
Subject to Agreement Contract
If you do need to file an insurance claim, we’ll ask you to sign a ‘Subject to Agreement” contract with us. It is an agreement between you and Legacy Restoration that you won’t be under obligation unless the insurance company approves the claim. You’ll only be expected to pay the insurance deductible.
We’ll help you fill out and submit an insurance claim with your provider. Usually, they will want us to describe what we found and list out the recommended repairs. This information is entered into a specialized software program that produces an itemized list of rates for each part of the project. If we and the insurance adjuster agree on the price for each item, this quote is sent on for approval.
Claim Approval & Payment
Some insurance companies will want to negotiate certain rates or ask for more information before final approval. Legacy Restoration will make sure to get this information submitted and work with the insurer to find a common ground where both sides are happy with the quote.
Once the claim is approved, the insurance adjustor will have the insurance company write you a check for the Actual Cash Value of your claim. You’ll also be expected to write a check for the insurance deductible to give to our field supervisor.
Our field supervisor will work with you to select the roofing materials for your home. You’ll have plenty of options for materials, shingle styles, and colors.
We will also go over an itemized list of everything that we need to do to repair the roof with you. If you are satisfied with this plan, we’ll also set up a date and time, if needed, to start work on your home restoration. Legacy Restoration also takes full responsibility for meeting the insurance company’s requirements, local codes, and the manufacturer’s specifications.
Confirmation of Payment
We’ll keep in touch with you and the insurance company to ensure they follow through on sending you the payment for your insurance claim. Once you receive the check and turn it over to a field supervisor, we’ll provide an invoice to you along with any warranty paperwork for your new roof.
