Legacy Restoration’s dedication to giving back to the communities we serve along with our commitment to innovation in the roofing industry was honored at this year’s Owens Corning platinum Preferred Conference in Vegas. Legacy was presented with the nationally recognized 2018 Spirit Award. The Spirit Award recognizes the contractor from a national pool who has demonstrated consistency with Owens Corning values as well as contributions to communities that we are involved in. The Spirit Award is the most competitive and coveted recognition within the Owens Corning Platinum program and arguably is the most prestigious award in the roofing business. The Owens Corning Spirit Award is presented to a Platinum Preferred Contractor that has taken action consistent with Owens Corning’s spirit and values. Owens Corning’s Core Values are Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Fun, Sharing, Candor and Innovation and Owens Corning wants to applaud companies that not only show spirit within their businesses, but extend it to the communities in which they live. Finalists are selected by Owens Corning Contractor Team and the winner os chosen by the Platinum Advisory Board and President of Roofing and Asphalt. For Legacy, this award showcases industry-leading contributions and reflects Legacy’s continued focus on having a positive impact within the lives of our employees, customers and community as a whole.
“The entire Legacy Restoration team is honored and humbled by the OC Platinum Spirit Award recognition. Our organizations primary focus is to have a positive impact on our employees, customers, and the communities that we serve,” said Scott Mullins, Owen of Legacy Restoration. “The Spirit Award substantiates that we have made some progress in actualizing our organizations Purpose.”
Giving back to the community with an overall mission of helping others build and sustain their legacy, has been a centerpiece of Legacy Restoration from day one. At the heart of it, Legacy’s mission is to “restore.” Because having a safe and sound place to call home goes much deeper than providing shelter – the notion of home breathes hope and stability. Since opening their doors in 2011, Legacy has founded an international charity, joined both Habitat for Humanity and Volunteers of America as national charitable partners, allowed each of the markets they serve to adopt local charitable organizations and provided 1-3 deserving organizations and/or individuals each year with a new roof. A few highlights of our 2017 charitable involvement included donating 25 bikes to JT’s Bikes for Kids, gifting the widow of a veteran with a new roof over Thanksgiving, donating full roof replacements and/or materials and labor necessary to restore roofs for those in need throughout the year, hosting the inaugural ‘For A Better Jamaica’ event Legacy for the Josephine Lilly Wolf Memorial Scholarship Foundation which raised over $11K in scholarship money, adopting families to gift through Volunteers of America each Christmas and making blanket for foster children, donating a roof for the 25th Habitat for Humanity Build in Hutchinson, meal packing at Feed My Starving Children, sponsoring “Sweet Cases” for Together We Rise, sponsoring events for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the American Cancer Society and various school ventures throughout the year which support the betterment of education.
